My overall professional objective is to offer engaging and excellent instruction in advanced biological science through the following activities. 1) Provide students with a solid foundation in biochemistry and molecular biology while teaching students to think critically about theoretical and practical aspects of experimental design. 2) Encourage students to apply their scientific knowledge to new areas and situations. 3) Expose students to current applications of molecular biology in medicine, pharmaceuticals and agriculture. 4) Develop my own level of expertise in the field of immunology to help students understand aspects of this discipline that relate to applied molecular biology.
